AML / Compliance Officer
About the role
As DogeSMS expands payment rails and serves more regulated financial customers, the compliance surface grows: AML / Travel Rule for crypto, sanctions screening at customer onboarding, GDPR / data protection across jurisdictions, audit response for SOC 2 and ISO 27001. This radar role exists for a dedicated compliance officer who owns the full program rather than ad-hoc legal coordination.
What you'll do
- Own the AML program: customer due diligence flow, sanctions screening (OFAC, EU, UK consolidated lists), transaction monitoring policy.
- Lead audit response for SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification cycles.
- Maintain regulatory filings across operational jurisdictions and partner with external counsel on new market entry.
What we expect
- 5+ years in financial services compliance at a fintech, payments company, or crypto exchange.
- Working knowledge of FATF Travel Rule, OFAC sanctions, GDPR / UK DPA, and at least one fintech licensing regime (FCA EMI, MAS PSP, BoL EMI).
- Hands-on experience driving SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audit cycles to a clean opinion.
Compensation
On the radar. Compensation is calibrated to local cost of living when we open this role — we publish bands when we begin interviewing, not before. USD-denominated regardless of jurisdiction, contractor or employment depending on your legal situation.
